Elizabeth E. Waid-Hilton of McCalla, AL, passed away in her home January 18, 2014.

After losing her son and home to a fire last January she had fought a heroic battle to get her life back to normal. In November she moved into her new home and was so happy to be on her own again, things was working out for her. Liz was Baptist and had thanked God every day for giving her the strength and health to move forward. Her death was so unexpected and we will all miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Michael Joe and Brian, survived by her daughter, Bridgette, grandsons Chris, Chase, and David, granddaughters, Kailey, and Cassidy, four brothers and one sister. So many friends and other family members, too many to list here.

Services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Farrell officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, January 24, 2014 from 11A.M. to 1 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
