Ella B. Washington was born March 16, 1935 to the late Jimmy and Jenny Pendleton in Union Springs, Alabama.

She confessed Christ at an early age, she later joined Mt. Caramel Baptist Church, Titusville. She later changed he membership to Westend Hills Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W. J. Jackson and was a faithful member and servant until her illness.

Ella leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Esther W. Crumpton and Pamela W. Wilson both of Birmingham, AL; two sons, Ernest (Cynthia) Washington of Powthan, VA and Anthony "Tony" Washington of Auburn, AL; 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy "Big Jim" (Yvette) Pendleton of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Glisterine Howlett of Birmingham, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
