age 76, of Bessemer, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, March 22, 2010. She was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving as a director of the Awanas program for 11 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard E. Yancey. She is survived by her children, Randy (Brenda) Yancey, Ronnie (Lisa) Yancey and Tracy (Mark) McCaleb; her grandchildren, Jeff LeMaster, Jennifer (Aaron) Brook, David Southwick, Chris Yancey, Caitlin Yancey, Alison McCaleb and Marilyn McCaleb; her brothers, Vernon J. Smith, and John William (Cheryl) Smith; her sister, Annette (Robert "Butch") Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Cedar Hill. Dr. Scott Bush and Rev. Carl Benedict officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home.
