age 80, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2008 at The Haven of Our Lady of Peace in Pensacola, Florida. Esther was born February 19, 1927 in Lincolnton, North Carolina and lived most of her life in Birmingham, Alabama. Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Adkins and daughter, Dolores Dana. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Scarpulla of Birmingham and Janet (Fred) Riddle of Pensacola, Florida, and sister, Jessie (Gene) Farson of Clearwater, Florida. Nothing brought more joy to Esther's life than her grandchildren, Kathy Suddath, Bobby Falls, Chris Scarpulla, Matt Scarpulla and Joel Riddle and great grandchildren Jeremy Rochester, Kinsey Copeland, Trent Falls, Sydney and Sophie Scarpulla, and Hunter and Taylor Riddle. She loved to cook holiday meals for the entire family and was famous for her banana pudding. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.
