Mrs. Ethel Bell Strickland, known as Maw Maw, age 93, of Birmingham Alabama. Born April 25,1922, passed away at home with family at her side on November 14, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Eulie Strickland, her parents Eula and Ira Adams, and siblings Ottice Adams and Myrtle Green.

Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Dutton; grandchildren: Bill (Stephanie) Dutton and Gwen (Jeff) Daniel; great grandchildren: Trey Dutton, Kylie Dutton, Jared Daniel and Ben Daniel.

She was a member of Valleydale Baptist and formally a member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and enjoyed time with family, quilting, canning and gardening. She retired from U.S. Steel after 33 years of service.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday 1:00 P.M. -2:00 P.M. with service following at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
