Frances Marie Richey McDaniel, age 90, of Athens, Georgia  formally of Bessemer, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Walter G.  McDaniel, she is survived by her sister Peggy Lint, sister-in-law Ruth Richie Flatt, special niece, Carolyn Lint, daughter, Charlotte (Danny) Mantooth, son, George "Dennis" (Paula) McDaniel , granddaughter, Ellyn (Dean) Killingsworth, grandsons; Jason (Georgette) Mantooth, Jon (Whitney) Mantooth, Austin (Krystal) Tubbs, great grandchildren; Trent Killingsworth, Mary Elizabeth Mantooth, George Mantooth, Julia "Mixon" Mantooth and her name sake Mimi Marie Mantooth and several nieces and nephews. Marie was a loyal and long time member of Canaan Baptist Church in Bessemer before moving to Athens. There will be a private family graveside service with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charles Teague will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Spencer, Bob Pennington, Dean Killingsworth, Trent Killingsworth, Austin Tubbs and Dennis McDaniel. Memorial contribution in her honor, can be submitted to your local Alzheimer's Association.
