Crisswell, Fred W., passed away Tuesday, September 8,2009 at the age of 83. Mr. Crisswell was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bessemer for over 55 years, served as a deacon for over 50 years, sang in the church choir, and served as a trustee. He was also an Avid Auburn Fan. Mr. Crisswell was preceded in death by his daughter, Wanda Scherer. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ruby Crisswell; daughter, Karen (Don) Watson; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jordan (Beth), and Elizabeth Watson, Emily (Tom) Harmon; great grandchildren, Samantha and Joey Harmon. Graveside service will be held Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Frank Sims officiating. Visitation will be at Valhalla Funeral Home from10:00 A.M. until time of the service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made th the Crossway Baptist Church in Bessemer, Alabama.
