Gary L. Hutcheson, age 67 , of McCalla, AL went to his Heavenly home on May 5 , 2022. He was a proud and devoted member and deacon of First Baptist Church of McCalla. After many dedicated years working for Cowin Equipment as General Manager he then became a Product Specialist for Core Industrial Supply where he was a very proud team member and served out his time until he lost his 2 year battle to colon cancer. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Hartley and Elizabeth Hutcheson ; father and mother-in-law, Frances and Eugene Milstead ; siblings, Delane Isbell , Brenda Mardant , and Edward Price . He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Hutcheson, whom he always referred to as "Honey"; his children who m he was so proud of, Jeannie (Jonathan) Short, Misty Hutcheson, Jessica (Daniel) Robertson, and Gary Allen (Abby) Hutcheson; his siblings , Darlene Price, Mike (Cathy) Milstead, John (Susan) Milstead, and Danny (Sherry) Johnson. He was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchi ld , along with a host of family and friends.

The Hutcheson Family would like to thank Alabama Hospice Care, specifically, Lori, Rachel, and Amy for t he love, compassion, and kindness shown to our family. All of you have truly been a blessing to our lives.

Visitation will be held May 9, 2022 at 10 am  until the 12 noon funeral home at Valhalla Funeral Home 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, AL with burial to follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
