Obituary
George E Svetlay,Jr.,62 of McCalla, was born on June 10, 1960 and passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023.He is predeceased by his parents, George E Svetlay,Sr. and Mildred Louise Lee Svetlay, sister Shirley Lee Finley Denton. He is survived by his sister, Retha Louise Svetlay Burdett (Thomas), brother-n-Law Thomas J. Denton,nieces, Kelly Lee Denton Wyatt (Gary), Abbie Michelle Burdett and nephew Richard Leon Denton.Special Thanks to his bestfriends Eddie Vanderslice and Sherry Warren.The family would also like to thank all the special people at ProHealth Hospice and UAB Palliative Care.
Visitation will be at 10:00am on Thursday,June 8 2023 at Valhalla Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11am at Valhalla Cemetery.
