Geraldine Barbar Shanks, age 79 of Birmingham, AL passed away of February 5th 2015. Geraldine was a member of NAMI Mental Health Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son; Gary King , brother; Ernest "Earnie" Huling, II. and grandson, Steve R. Rines II and granddaughter, Misty M. Taylor.

She leaves her memories to be cherished by her husband of 44yrs Lonnie Shanks; Son; Jason E. Shanks. Three daughters; Cynthia Rines, Barbar R. Rice, and Debrah Taylor; brothers; Doug (Becky) Huling and Benny (Linda) Huling, 5 grand kids and 2 great grand.

Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Wednesday February 11, 2015 at 10:30am, with a visitation at 9am. Internment will follow at Valhalla Funeral Home.
