Geraldine (Key) Smith, age 84 formerly of Lipscomb, Alabama, passed away on January 13, 2019. Geraldine was a graduate of Jones Valley High School and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama as a Claims Manager.
She was a current resident of Helena, AL for the past 46 years where she resided with her husband of 64 years, Robert Lamar Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Annie Mae Key and her son, Michael Lamar Smith, killed by a drunk driver in 1987.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lamar Smith; daughter, Carol Ann Foster and her husband, Johnny; grandson, Jeffery Lamar Foster and his wife, Christy; granddaughter, Jamie Leigh (Smith) Schollian; great granddaughter, Amilia Rose Foster; brother, Bobby Joe Key and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 12 Noon to 1 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, AL 35228. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm at Valhalla Cemetery, Midfield AL.
