Gilbert Blackman Sr., age 84 of Bessemer, AL passed away on Monday June 9th, 2014 at a local hospital.

Mr. Blackman''s funeral services will be held at Old St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church on Monday June 16th, 2014 at 12 noon. The body will lie instate one hourr prior to services (11 am to 12 noon). Mr. Blackman will be out for viewing at the Valhalla Funeral Home from 9 am to 10:00 am on that Monday morning for family and friends to see before he goes to the church. Internment will take place at Valhalla Cemetery.
