Richards, Gladys Durden , of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Birmingham, AL, died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the age of 95. She was the wife of the late Sanford Richards and is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Fields and husband Warren of Lawrenceville, GA, Beverley Denney and husband Leonard of Wimberley, TX. She was preceded in death by her siblings Maury Durden, Mabel Creel and Martha Townsend. Other surviving family members include siblings Corene Thomas, Edna Hill, Clint Durden and Ralph Durden; four granddaughters and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Sandusky First Baptist Church, 1125 Haven Drive, Birmingham, AL or Peachtree Christian Hospice, 3430 Duluth Park Lane, Duluth, GA.
