Glenda "Gayle" Green, age 77 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Green; son, Jimmy Green; and her parents Elmer Woodard and Imogene Hagood Woodard.

Gayle was a faithful caregiver for her son, Jimmy Green for twenty five years. During her life, she worked with White Dairy, Alabama Gas, Birmingham Court House, and the Hueytown Police Department where she served as dispatcher. She was a member of New Life Church for thirty one years.

She is survived by two daughters, Jackie White (Eddie) and Lisa Morris (John); 6 grandchildren, Danada Patterson (Brad Harmon), Brittany Morris, Jonathan Morris (Madison Allen), Makayla White, Dawson White, Dillon White; great grandchildren; Jacey Patterson, Jalyn Patterson, Brynley Harmon, Annaleece Harmon, and Rhy Allen; her special pet,, Frankie; one brother, Gary Lynn Woodard (Pat); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of our church family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 12 noon at New Life Church, 400 Roebuck Parkway, Birmingham, Alabama  35206, with Brother Barry Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon prior to the service at the church.
