Obituary

Grace Marie Stewart, 85, of McCalla, AL went to her eternal Heavenly home on Monday, August 31, 2020.

Mrs. Stewart, in her younger years worked as a butcher's assistant in the meat dept. of Foodland.  However, most of her life was spent loving on, and taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, and  in-laws.  She was brought up Church of God, but has also been a part of the Baptist fellowship of believers for many years, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock, AL.

She was a huge Elvis fan, she didn't think she could sing, but she had a beautiful voice, do the shimmy-shake dance, and her laugh was infectious.  She loved to fish, and eat Cracker Barrel Spicy-Grilled Catfish   However, most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and wanted everyone to know Him as their Savior too.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles M. Stewart, father, Odis L. Cole, mother, Myrtice V. Dooley, sister, Ruth Ford, brothers, Olen L. Cole and Raymond Cole, along with many other loved ones and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Teresa Ingle (Ray), Susan Vice (Randy), grandchildren, Rachel Ingle, Jake Vice (Jennifer), Daniel Vice (Krystal), and Zack Vice (Hannah).  Great-grandchildren, Makayla, Sofia, Brantley, and Caden.
Same day Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Hepzibah Baptist Church in McCalla, AL, Thursday, September 3, 2020.  Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. in the Sanctuary, with the Funeral Service beginning at 3 p.m.  Burial will be in adjoining cemetery, however no public graveside service will be held.  Bro. Ben Corley, and Bro. Thomas Wilson will be officiating the service, with niece, Pastor Becky Willis meeting the immediate family at the graveside after burial to share encouraging words from Scripture and closing prayer.

The pews in the Sanctuary of the church are staggered to help protect against the Coronavirus, and masks are required based on current state law, CDC Guidelines, and are appreciated by the family.  For those who can not attend, the family hopes to provide a recording of the service.
