Gwendolyn "Ginger" Raybon Crosby, age 75, of Lawley passed away on Thursday, April 07, 2016 at Shelby Baptist Hospital.
Mrs. Crosby was a native of Bessemer where she was raised and lived in Jefferson County most all of her life. She resided in Lawley, Alabama for the past fifteen years. She was a member of the Baptist Faith, formerly worked with United Chair and Compass Bank and was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Raybon and one step son, Curtis E. Crosby.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Crosby; a son, Christopher Lewis Elmore (Jennifer); a daughter, Cindy Pruitt; three grandsons, Luke, Jake and Doc Elmore; a brother, Rick Raybon (Dianne); a sister, Martha Jean Raybon McMahan (Billy); an aunt, Addie Raybon Boseman; her best life long friend, Carolyn Ann McWhorter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends, Monday, April 11, 2016 from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Crest Cemetery, 5730 Highway 78 E Irondale, AL 35015 (205) 956-9456.
