Harry B. Edwards age 94 of Alabaster, AL passed away Wednesday morning February 7, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Miriam A. Edwards, his children George E. Edwards SR., Jesses A. Edwards, and William L. Jones. His Grandchildren George E. Edwards Jr., Gretchen E. Jones, spouse Bob, Laura E. Dawson, spouse Billy, Erin E. McGarrah, Spouse Blake, and Many Great Grandchildren. Harry Attended Marion Military Institution. In 1942, he joined the USMC and served 26 months oversea. He was the owner of Valhalla Cemetery for over 40 years. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Mon Valley Leatherneck Association of Monessen, PA., Marine Corps League Howlin Mad Smith Detachment of Birmingham, AL., Milton H. Fies Lodge #722, Louise Richardson Chapter #236 O.E.S., and The Zamora Shrine Temple of Central Alabama. Funeral service is Friday February 9, 2018, visitation for 10:00 to 12:00, grave side service to follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
