Mathews, Helen M. , age 70, of Adger, AL, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was retired from Rogers Auto Repair. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy King officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Mathews; two sisters, Annie Ruth and Janie; one brother, Ricky. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger L. Mathews; three sons Rodgers L. Mathews (Darla), Gregory S. Mathews (Lisa) and Scotty D. Mathews; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; three brothers, J.D., Larry and David Reaves; three sisters, Mary Jones, Sandra Hitt and Kathy Knighten.
