age 86, resident of Hueytown, died October 7, 2006. He was a member of Hueytown Baptist Church; U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and U.S. Steel retiree with 36 years of service. Survivors include wife of 63 years, Mary Mize Mims; daughter, Suzanne (Earl) Anderson and Rebecca (Gary) King; grandchildren, David (Dana) Anderson, Joel (Tova) Anderson, Scott (Kathy) Anderson, Jennifer (Ricky) Newton, Ashley Anderson, Karen (Kevin) Handley and Matthew King; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; brother, Lawrence (Eva) Mims. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
