Homer Guilford Morris, age 74 of Birmingham died Monday, January 26, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center Princeton.

Mr. Morris was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Jefferson County most of his life. He was a retired truck driver with Delta Dump Trucking Company, a member of South Park Baptist Church and served with the Army National Guard for eighteen years.

He is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Jo Ann Morris; two sons, Keith Morris and James Morris (Leza); one grandson, Ian Morris and five brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald R. Sellers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Valhalla Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery of Bessemer.
