Nixon, Howard Wilton , born Sept. 15, 1934, age 74, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2008. He was born in Elmore County, Montgomery. He lived his life in Bessemer, AL. He played football and graduated from McAdory School in McCalla. He was an avid Alabama fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erin Moody Nixon; his parents, Myria H. and Myrtle V. Nixon; his brothers, Elbert R., Charles Fred and Wayne C. Nixon. He is survived by his sisters, Ruby E. Cutcliffe, Lila Eagle (Jimmy) and Myrie Nabors; his brothers, William H. and special friend Katie, John C. (Mary) and Austin F. (Angie) Nixon; his sister-in-law, Imojean Nixon. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2008 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Special recognition to Living Center Nursing Home on Brooklane in Hueytown.
