Treadaway, Hubert L. , age 77, of Bessemer, AL, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Mr. Treadaway was born and raised in Trussville, AL. He was the son of the late Ellis and Clara Treadaway. He attended Trussville High School. He served in the U.S. Army and retired after 20 years of service. Mr. Treadaway fought in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He meet his wife,Irmgard, while serving in Germany. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past October 4, 2008. Mr. Treadaway was a member of Crossway Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Frank Sims officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Irmgard Treadaway of Bessemer; son, William Thomas Treadaway of Bessemer; daughter, Linda Lou Treadaway of Bessemer; sisters, Earline Williams of Charlotte, NC and Martha Clark of Orlando, FL; sister-in-law, Rosemary Whitaker of West Columbia, SC.
