age 78, of Pleasant Grove, AL passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2007. Jack was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He was retired from a management position in 1986 from Bellsouth Telephone Company. He served as Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force at the close of the Korean War. He was an avid bowler, prior member of Central Park United Methodist Church, where he served in several church capacities for 41 years. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gaynell W. Cotton; sons, Jack Herman (Renee) Cotton, Jr., Dana E. (Ellen) Jackson and Joseph W. Jackson; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and extended loving family and numerous friends. Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2007 from 12:30 until service time at Valhalla Funeral Home with burial at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Scales and Rev. John Gates will be officiating.
His loving spirit will be missed by his loving family and many special friends.
