For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. -2 Corinthians 5:1
He is survived by his Children: Samantha & Tyler Goggins, his Grandson: Karson Daniel Solowes, Parent: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Goggins, Sister: Stacey R. Goggins & a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his Mother: Paula Renae Barrett, Grandfather: James F. Goggins, & Uncle: Ben O. Goggins.
His passing was due to damages resulting from brain surgery, on May 5, 1994, to repair his Arterial Ventricular Malformation or AVM. His type of AVM was a congenital disorder (one present at birth) of blood vessels in the brain, that is characterized by a complex, tangled web of abnormal arteries and veins connected by one or more fistulas (abnormal communications). The surgery was successful in its repair. However, it also resulted in permanent damage to its region and left him with many disabilities to his brain and body.
The Broken Chain
We didn't know that morning
God was going to call your name...
In life we love you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same...
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
