Curren, Sr., Jackie McCarter, age 70, of Bessemer, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. He was a member of Raimund Heights Baptist Church. Owner of Jack Curren Wrecker Service and a Charter Member of Auto Racing Pioneers Association. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Chesser officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, JoAnn Curren; his sons, Jackie (Gwen) Curren, Jr. and Jeff (Allison) Curren; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Brittney Curren; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Praytor, Barbara Mitchell and Becky Curren; Numerous nieces and nephews.
