Bailey, James Harold, age 90, born June 25, 1919 in Wilkes, Alabama, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, February 14, 2010. Mr. Bailey served in the U. S. Army during World War II in the Panama Canal Zone. He also served stateside in Nebraska and Colorado as a bomber gunnery instructor. After moving the family dairy from Wilkes, the Bailey family operated Bailey's Dairy Farm in Reevestown for over 50 years. In more recent years, Mr. Bailey retired from dairy farming and he and his sons concentrated on raising beef cattle. Mr. Bailey was predeceased by his father and mother, William C. Bailey and Sarah Oslin Bailey and by his wife Maylon Gallant Bailey. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Merle Bailey, Fred Bailey, Clyde Bailey, Ralph Bailey and Charles Bailey and his sister Mildred Bailey Davidson. He is survived by his sons, William "Bill" Ellis Bailey, Donald "Don" Ray Bailey and Joel Edwin Bailey; grandchildren, Michael Bailey, Ray Bailey, Grace Bailey, Amber Bailey, Kyle Bailey, Elaina Bailey, Joey Bailey, Amy Bailey and Chris Bailey; and great grandchildren, Sara Bailey and Archer Bailey. Visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at Valhalla Cemetery.
