James "Bud" Clarence Bailey, age 85, of Midfield died Sunday at his residence.
Mr. Bailey was a life long resident of Jefferson County. He was a former brick mason and worked with DSW Converting Knives. Mr. Bailey was a World War II veteran with the U. S. Navy and was a member of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Betty B. Bailey of Midfield; one daughter, Debbie Parsons(Jimmy) of Springville; three sons, James Donald Bailey(Edie) of Midfield, David Bailey(Velinda) of Moody and Daniel Bailey of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; three great grandchidlren; one sister, Gladys Branton(Joe) of Dora; numberous neices and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 12 noon at Valhalla Chapel with Eugene Nail officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
