Mr. James Melvin "Tooty" Downey of Bessemer, Alabama went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2023 at the age of 78 years. He was a brick mason by trade He is preceeded in death by his Father Joseph F.Downey and his Mother Rosa Lee Downey. He is survived by his wife Linda Downey and daughter Bonnie Temple and Son Shawn Downey. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was a most caring and loving person and will be truly missed by all he knew.
