Mahaffey, James ("Jimbo") H., III., age 53, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Jimbo grew up in Bessemer, AL and resided in Hueytown, AL along with his devoted wife, Teresa R. Mahaffey, of 33 years. He was a graduate of Bessemer Academy. He loved Alabama football, avid reader of military history, and listening to heavy metal & disco music. He loved being Peepaw to his two beautiful granddaughters, Adeline and Everleigh who he called his sweet peas. Jimbo cherished his family and all of his friendships in life.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa R. Mahaffey; two children, Crystal K. Odom (Alex) and Hunter James Nord-Mahaffey (Timothy); mother, Dorothy "Ann" Lynch (Jim); numerous cousins, aunts and uncles of Alabama and Georgia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 20th, 2021 from 12-2 with service beginning at 2 at Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield, AL.
