passed away June 7, 2010 at the age of 84. He was born in Chilton County, AL and lived most of his life in Midfield, prior to moving to Montgomery, AL to be close to family. He is a veteran of WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest T. Scott and Isabell Minor Scott; and sister, Bessie Scott Brookins. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Henson Scott; his nephew, James Ronald Brookins; his niece, Cecilia Brookins Harris; two great nephews, Scott Gilliland, Anthony Brookins; five great nieces, Jamie Brookins Rice, Justine Brookins, Jaqueline Brookins, Tora Brookins, and Mackenzie Gilliland; and two great-great nieces, Angel Brookins and Peyton Michelle Rice. Visitation will be Saturday, June 12, at noon at Valhalla Funeral Home, Midfield, AL with services at 1:00 pm.
