Reverend James Edward Shaw Sr. was born April 2,1938 in Fayette, AL. He was a college football coach at Alcorn A&M, Eastern Michigan University, Southern University, and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He graduated from Miles College with a BS in Mathematics and a Masters at Eastern Michigan University. He taught math over 20 years and coached at Jackson Olin High School.  He is survived by his children James Shaw, Jr., Patricia Morehead (Jarvis), Jason Shaw, Mischell Shaw Massey, and grandchildren Autumn and Christen Massey, and Victoria Morehead. Funeral Services will be held at Faith Christian Center, 1001 Old Warrior River Road, Hueytown, AL 35022 at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Visitation will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Hwy Midfield, AL 35228 on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm. Interment Valhalla Cemetery.
