age 85, of Pelham, passed away on June 20, 2007. He was a member of Helena Church of Christ for 13 years where he served as an elder. He worked for Alabama Power for 44 years and 8 months. He was a WWII Veteran where he served in the Phillippines. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla funeral home on Saturday June 23, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with burial in Valhalla cemetery. Minister Curtis Flatt and Barney Keith officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 from 5 until 8 p.m. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kate Johnson, parents, Finton and Donnie Johnson. and two brothers, Zeb and Ross. He is survived by his wife, Imogene M. Johnson of Pelham; son, Lewis (Kathy) Johnson of Northport; daughters, Jane (Charles) Nesbitt of Wilsonville and Kay (James) Moody of Atlanta, grandchildren, Dan Nesbitt, Bill (Stacy) Nesbitt, Kate (Jason) Matise, Jacob Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson; great grandchildren, Shelby and Carrie Nesbitt, Madison and Victoria Matise and Trenton Johnson; brother Roy (Vadus) Johnson of Columbus MS., two nieces and four nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. David Gettinger and Palliative Comfort and care unit at UAB.
