Jean C Martin age 87 passed away on October 11, 2022. She was born in Brent, AL on August 23, 1935. Jean was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Martin; parents, Vonia P. Martin, mother and Alvie C. Barrow, father.

She is survived by her three children, son, Steve Martin (Debbie); daughters, Sandy George (John) and Katherine Sudduth (Steve); two grandchildren, Christy Banks (BJ) and Jonathan Hagood; four great grandchildren, Austin Armstrong, Brayden Banks, Elijah James Banks and Noah Wilson Banks.

Jean loved traveling and seeing different parts of the world with her late husband during his time in the military; she also enjoyed various trips after his retirement. Her favorite vacation destination was frequent trips to Destin, FL, she considered it her second home.

One of Jean's hobbies was to paint beautiful  free hand pictures and landscape sceneries.

She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made in Jean's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Graveside Services will be held on October 14, 2022 at 1 pm at the mausoleum in Valhalla Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steve Sudduth, BJ Banks, John George, Jonathan Hagood, Eli Banks and Noah Banks.
