Jeffery Kendrick Self, age 55, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at home.

He was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County. He was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School, and was retired from U. S. Steel after 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Eugene Self, brother, David Michael Self, and sister Nancy Carol Self.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother, Martha Self; two daughters, Jeanette Brabban (Bill), Jessica McGraw (Nick); five grandchildren, Brooke, Madyson, Baylie, Avery, and Carter; a brother, Wesley "Buster" Self ( Nancy), Sister; Pam Duncan ( Joe ); two nieces, Lisa Self Modling and Karen "KK" Burton ( Jake ) and one nephew, Glen Moreland ( Jennifer ).

Services will be Wednesday, July 9,2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Chapel . The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Valhalla Funeral Home.
