age 64, of Ochatchee, AL, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2007. Jerry left his life to go to his heavenly home. This day was his loving anniversary for him and his loving wife of 41 years, Jenny. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church Southside, AL. A graduate of Sanford University, he attended New Orleans Seminary in Birmingham, AL. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson E. Smith, Sr. and Viola Smith McCracken; and sister, Betty Goolsby. He is survived by his wife, Jenny Phillips Smith of Ohatchee, AL; two sons, Jerry W. (Kim) Smith of Calera, AL and Jeffery A. Smith of Ohatchee, AL; daughter, Traci Jill (David) Fendley of Ohatchee, AL; grandchildren, Phillip Smith, Sofie Smith, Brandon, Bailey, Maeci and Riley Fendley; brother, Nelson E. Smith, Jr. (Sue) of McCalla, AL; and sisters, Mari Nell Marcus of North Carolina and Jackie Martini of Pinson, AL. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with Bill Thomason and Ed Mason officiating.
