Jessie Mae Hairston, passed away peacefully at her home on May 21, 2016 at the age of 91 years old. Ms. Hairston was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, born on July 10, 1924 in Shady Grove, Alabama.

Ms. Hairston will be deeply missed. She is survived by her older sister: 93 year old Williebelle Chapman; three sons: Samuel Hairston, Jr., John L. Hairston, and Jerry W. Hairston; daughter-in-law: AnnieBell and Esperanza; grandchildren; John (Paige) Jr., Victoria (William Henley), Jeffery (Marisol), Jason, Jerry Jr., Justin, Scott (Jill), Stacey (Geary Epperson), Anna Maria (Nathan Seiple), Kimberly; and 24 great-grandchildren; Alexandria, Juliana, Madison Alea, Elizabeth, William, Matthew, Collin, Cole, Camille, Jeffery Jr., Eva, Jackson, Kara, Jessica, Dallas, Landon, Lincoln, Hayden, Erica, Erin, Kayla, Trymon, Madison, and Morgan.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2016 Carraway Blvd., Birmingham, AL 35234. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Zion Memorial Cemetery.
