Jimmy Dale Jackson, age 62, of Sylvan Springs, Alabama died Monday, June 20, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Jackson was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County where he formerly owned and operated Dale''s Automotive until his retirement. He was a life long car enthusiast. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his mother, Doshie Banks, one brother, Otis Jackson, and one sister, Carolyn Kinard.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jackson; two daughters, Stephanie Bush (Jeff) and Susan Watson; six grandchildren, Amanda Goodwin (Charlie), Steven Buroughs, Jason Evans (Danielle), Jacob Bush, Hannah Bush, and Molly Bush; two brothers, John Jackson (Jerald) and Charlie Jackson; and two sisters, Virginia Brewer (Bill) and Gail Swatzell (Roy).

Services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Mulkin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Valhalla Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery.
