Sims, Jimmy Wayne , age 70, of Oakman, formerly a resident of Bessemer, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 21, 2009. He was the owner of Home Appliance Repair in Bessemer for many years. He was also a Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo and his sister, Clara Dell Sims. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Wayne (Amanda) Sims of McCalla; his daughter, Lisa (Harry R. "Rusty") Findley of Mountain Brook; four grandchildren that he loved and cherished, Grace, Meredith and Jared Findley and Lauren Sims; his sisters Jane (Russell) Cash of Elba and Sarah Boyd of Bessemer. Funeral Services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
