age 80, of Bessemer, passed away on Oct. 21, 2006. He was a member of Flint Hill Masonic Lodge and retired from US Steel. Mr. Witt was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Susan Moore High School. Mr. Witt was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Witt and Virginia G. Witt; wife, Doris Witt; brother, Clifford Witt and numerous half sisters and brothers. He is survived by: two sons, Gerald (Patricia) Witt and Donald (Brenda) Witt; three grandchildren, Cpt. David Witt-USAF of Germany, George (Amanda) Witt and Angela Witt; two step grandchildren, Josh Taylor and Amy (Perry) Dagnan; three great grandchildren, Dakota Witt, Trinity Jordan and Tristan Jordan and numerous other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 23, 2006 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home Chapel with entombment at Valhalla Cemetery. Rev. David Mahaffee will be officiating. Valhalla Funeral Home directing.
