John Joseph Coughlin
October 8, 1924 - January 14, 2016
John peacefully entered his last chapter of life on January 14, 2016.
He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Only he could convince his grandchildren, his secret ingredient to his wonderful BBQ was rain water.
John was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving on numerous ships in the Pacific and Atlantic.
John was predeceased by his parents, Helen Alexander and John Julius Coughlin; a sister, Dorothy Coughlin Wood and his beloved wife of 60 years, Loyce Dunn Coughlin.
His legacy is great. He leaves behind his four loving daughters; Ginger Miller (William), Linda Donaldson (James, deceased), Donna Huggins (William), and Cynthia Routman (Michael).
Grandchildren; Branden Haley Saccomani (Andreas), Allison Miller Holley (Shane), Michelle Nichols (Jay), Scott Donaldson, Lindsay Haley, Sarah Haley Chesney, Chad Donaldson (Brittany), Justin Farley, Kelsey Farley Brock (Stuart), Justin Routman (Jamie).
Great Grandchildren: Laney Powell, Isabelle Haley, Chloe Powell, Nola Chesney, Palin Holley, Jonathan (JD) Donaldson, Avery Routman, Alan Fricks, Jordan Nichols, Micah Nichols and the soon to arrive Oliver Brock, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Greenbrier at the Altamont and Brookwood Hospital 5 and 6 floor staff.
In lieu of flowers, John requested donations in the name of his beloved wife, Loyce, to the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
