John David Goodwin went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his father, Hillard Elmer Goodwin and a nephew, Michael Andrew Rutland.

Mr. Goodwin is survived by his mother, Clora Ann Wesson Goodwin; two sisters, Deborah Ann Rutland Curren (Wayne) and Patricia Gale Moses; a niece, Madeleine Rutland; one nephew, Dr. James Henry Rutland, III. and a great nephew, Jacob Daniel Rutland.

Mr. Goodwin was a native of Jefferson County where he lived most of his life. He was a former resident of Houston, Texas for ten years.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 12 Noon at Valhalla Chapel with the Rev. Keith Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon at Valhalla Funeral Home.
