John Allen Greene, age 59, of Hoover died on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Brookwood Hospital in Homewood.

Mr. Greene was a native of Jefferson County and lived the past twenty-three years in Shelby County. He was an active member and Lay Minister at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Mr. Greene received his masters degree in Accounting from UAB College in Birmingham and his law degree from the Birmingham School of Law. He presently worked with Bill Murray and Associates, Inc. where he has served the past seventeen years.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn C. Greene; a brother, Gordon Scott Greene; two sisters, Cathy Ann Pollard and Lisa Greene White and husband Stephen; one nephew, Taylor White; and one niece, Joanna Philabaum.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:00 A. M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A. M. prior to the mass. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield, AL.
