John Lewis Perry, age 69 of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on July 8, 2015 at a local hospital.

John Lewis Perry (Buddy) was born to Lewis Perry and Estella Hill Lucas on March 26, 1946 in Greensboro, Alabama.

John confessed faith in Christ at an early age. After moving to Birmingham, he was reared by his mother Mrs. Estella H. Lucas and Mr. Sam W. Lucus.

John (Buddy) departed on his new journey on July 8, 2015.

He leaves to cherish his memories : two sons, Darrell (Rotonda) Perry of Birmingham, Alabama and Darrell Glen of Dayton, Ohio; three daughters, LaVeatrice Perry, Roushannah Perry and Latonia Kimbrough all of Birmingham, Alabama; fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchild. A loving brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Perry. A devoted cousin Sharon Bradford; one uncle, three aunts, one niece and two nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Perry''s funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home with an 11AM service. Internment will follow at Valhalla Cemetery. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home from 5pm to 7pm.
