John David Wolfe Sr. took his rightful place at the feet of Jesus on August 26th, 2024. He was a proud member of the United Mine Workers Association for over 50 years and recorded and released a dozen albums over a 40-year career in gospel music. He was renowned as one of the finest first tenors in the South.

He is preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Jeanette Wolfe, his wife Jolene Marlow Wolfe, his father James Wolfe, his mother Alma Mann, his brother Joe, his sisters Elizabeth and Deborah, and his stepson Ron Marlow.

He is survived by his son John D. Wolfe II (Leigh Ann), granddaughter Amelia Wolfe, grandson Erik Underwood (Gretchen), sister Lisa Wolfe Prestwood, stepson Michael Marlow (Anna), grandchildren William and Sara Marlow, granddaughter Kelly Green (Jeremy), and several great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery, 829 Wilkes Road, Midfield, Alabama on Friday, August 30th, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Valhalla Funeral Home is in Charge.
