Obituary

Johnny Wayne Tyler, age 74, of Irondale, AL died Monday, July 31, 2017 at Diversicare in Bessemer.

Mr. Tyler was a native of Pine Hill, Alabama where he lived most all of his life. He retired from the United States Air Force with twenty-two years of service as a Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Tyler received numerous medals of commendation. After he retired from the US Air Force he worked with the Pine Hill Water Treatment Plant as operator and retired there with 24 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Andrew Tyler and Cecil Moore Tyler; a brother, Keith Tyler and one grandchild, Walker McKeithen Tyler.

He is survived by his wife, Keiko Taira Tyler; three sons, Everett "Bill" Earhart (Diana), Jeff Earhart (Sarah), and Michael Tyler (Wendy); a daughter, Katherine Thompson (Dustin); six grandchildren, Laura Earhart, Ashley Morgan, Melissa Earhart, Kenji Tyler, Andrew Earhart and Harper Thompson and two great grandchildren, Brynn Morgan and Charli Hinson.

A Graveside Service will be at 1:15 P.M. at Montevallo National Cemetery with David Lowery officiating
