Joseph Donald Earley, Sr.

Joseph Donald Earley, Sr., age 84 of Bessemer died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Baptist Princeton Hospital.

Mr. Earley was a native and life long resident of Jefferson County where he retired from U. S. Steel and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. He was co-founder and charter member of Garywood Baptist Church . Mr. Earley was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Betty Earley; two granddaughters, Tara Earley McGehee and Faith Morgan Earley; four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two sons, Jody Earley (Vicki Chism) and Morgan Earley (Debbie McDonald); six grandchildren, Kevin and Nicholas Earley, Aaron Powell , Noah Earley, Lacey Hearn, Aiden Earley; four great grandchildren; Elizabeth and Eric McGehee, Hailey and Jack Powell.

Services will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Sunday officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at Valhalla Chapel.
