Joyce Falkner Bowen Hobbs, age 89, formerly of Birmingham, died Friday, April 28, 2017 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Tyler, Alabama.

She was a native of Birmingham where she lived most all of her life. She resided in Tyler for the past five years. She was a member of the Riverchase United Methodist Church and formerly played the organ at Brighton United Methodist Church for thirty years and Mt. Chapel in Hoover. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Lauren B Russell (Dan) and Karen DeLoach; two grandchildren, Brian DeLoach (Bevin) and Eric DeLoach; one great grandchild, Malachy DeLoach.

Services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12 Noon at Valhalla Chapel with Rev.''s John Mount and Bill McCall officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, May 1, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at 12.
