May 28, 1926 - December 3, 2015
Joyce Goodwin Posey passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at her home.
Ms. Posey was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Bessemer most of her life. She was a retired bookkeeper and co owner of Modern Motors in Bessemer and a member of the Glenn Hills United Methodist Church in Bessemer.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie A. Posey; father, Leonard M. Goodwin; mother, Mable Goodwin; and sister, Elizabeth Lewis.
She is survived by her son, Morris Posey (Cindy); grandson, Jake Posey (Jasmine); the newest love of her life, great granddaughter, Harbor Sage Posey; sister, Louise Lovelady; and brother, Douglas Goodwin (Barbara).
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Valhalla Cemetery. There will not be a visitation.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for their friendship, support and care giving.
