Karen Bowen Deloach, 75, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on March 23, 2025. Born on March 9, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of Albert Bowen and Joyce Hobbs. Karen's life was marked by dedication to both her family and her profession.

A proud graduate of Bessemer High School, Karen completed her education in 1968 before earning her degree from Sanford University in 1973. With a deep passion for healthcare, she spent her career serving the community in the field of pharmacy. Karen retired as the Director of Pharmacy at UAB West, a role in which she was highly respected for her leadership, commitment, and expertise.

Karen's legacy is one of compassion, service, and dedication. She touched many lives through her work and was known for her unwavering kindness and willingness to help others. Her contributions to both her profession and her community will not be forgotten.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Bowen and Joyce Hobbs. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Eric Deloach; her sister, Lauren (Dan) Russell; along with a grandchild and numerous extended family members, friends, and colleagues.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April, 4, 2025, at Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield, Alabama. Valhalla Funeral Home in Midfield is in charge of arrangements.
