Kathy Willis Flurry
February 15, 1959 - May 21, 2016

Kathy Willis Flurry, age 57, passed away on May 21, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Judson Roe Willis and Katherine Willis and brothers, Roy and Pete Nathan Willis.

She is survived by her husband, Derrell Flurry; daughter, Lynn Eastis (James); grandchildren, Ryan and Rebekah Eastis; brother, Ronnie Willis (Constance); sisters, Donna Blalock (Phillip) and Tammy Mason (Keith); step daughter, Amanda Kelly (Bryan); step son, Daniel Flurry; and a step granddaughter, Sarah Anderson.

Kathy loved working in law enforcement. While working as a security officer at Medical Center East, she spent 9 years as a reserve deputy sheriff with Jefferson County Sheriff''s Office. She went on to retire as a 911 dispatcher with the City of Bessemer. She enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Valhalla Cemetery with Phillip Blalock officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P. M. on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Valhalla Funeral Home.
